4-6th of July ESWC Masters in Paris take place. Two g0d girlz will be there at the event. Anouc and her CounterStrike team BadGirlsClan got invited to play in a tough CounterStrike tournament along with 14 other female CounterStrike teams around the world. We cross our fingers for Anouc since the first place will secure them a place in the ESWC finals that takes place in Dallas in the end of August.
Also trito will be there. She will go there to spectate all the interesting games. She will be accompanied by her camera and she will make some video content that you will be able to watch at some point.
Yesterday Liefje and her team Berlin Allianz managed to win the game against Stockholm Magnetix in the CGS. The games were really close and Allianz won by just one point. Liefje played a great game where she won 5-0. We hope there will be videos up soon so we can watch her awsome game.
In some hours they will play Birmingham Salvo to decide what team is the best in Europe. Good luck Liefje!
Our Liefje, who also is a professional player in the CGS League, is right now in Los Angeles to fight for her team Berlin Allianz. Tomorrow, Friday, will the European finals be played and hopefully Liefje’s team will make it so they move on to the world finals played about a month after.
Liefje is playing DOA4 (Dead of Alive 4) and her job is to beat the other DOA4 female players in the other CGS teams. We hope the games will be streamed so we can cheer for Liefje. Head over to the CGS website to keep updated of the games and cheer for Liefje you too.

At DreamHack, trito and the Quake admin Dronar got interviewed by Rakaka, a Swedish gaming news site. Among other things trito is talking about how she has been doing in the tournament so far. Check it out (it is in Swedish though):

Last months I’ve heard a lot of gamers talking about the upcoming game Quake Live. I was happy some days ago when I received an invitation to test the beta. I tried it for the first time yesterday and I must say I really like the idea.
Quake Live is pretty much like Quake 3 (one of the best games ever), but you play it in your browser and it’s free. I’m pretty amazed a complex game like Quake 3 can run that good in your browser.
I think Quake Live is really promising and I think it will attract many users once it’s released.

The four last days Ive been at DreamHack that takes place in Jnkping, Sweden. DreamHack is the biggest LAN in the world and they arrange a lot of tournaments. This time they had cs, dota and wc3 among other competitions. For me Quake Forever was the most interesting one. In Quake Forever they held tournaments in QuakeWorld and Quake 2, but also the ESWC qualifier in Quake 3. Because of all the quake competitions a lot of quake gamers were attending the event and its always nice to see friends you havent seen for a while.
I competed in the Quake 3 ESWC qualifier. When I go to a tournament Im often quite well prepared, but this time I didnt practice that much, I was more in it for the fun. Fun it was and I managed to pass the group stage. In the quarter finals I got knocked out by Spartie who is one of the top players in Sweden.
I also had a BYOC spot, but I only used it for 15 minutes in total. I was busy with playing the competition and later on watching all the interesting games. I did also bring my camera and I filmed quite a lot of interviews that will be up somewhere on the web later on.
Since there really hasnt been any tournaments for Quake in the last year I havent been to any competitions since WSVG Toronto in August 2007. Ive only been to events like CES and CEBIT. Being at DreamHack, playing in the tournament really makes me want to play in more tournaments. It also makes me think about all the girlz in our team. We have had so much fun together through the years going to events and here at DreamHack I missed them a lot.
