Creepy gaming anyone?? – Chickamungus

I’ve always been sort of a scary cat. Till this day, I’m still scared of the dark, but there’s something that just draws me to scary movies and creepy games. The first scary movie I remember having nightmares about is Child’s Play. I saw that movie when I was like 5 or 6 years old, and I never accepted a doll ever again as a Christmas present!! The first creepy game that I ever bought was Silent Hill on the Playstation. I remember watching the opening credits with the creepy music with a chill going down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. You start off in that game in a foggy abandoned town with nothing but a flash light and a portable radio that statics when monsters are close by. When the town gets dark (or for better words, transform), you’re literally surrounded by darkness with bloodied mangy dogs and distorted creatures chasing you!

It’s the ultimate creepy claustrophobic psychological thrilling game as you venture through the town’s abandoned houses and schools with blood covered walls and desks, and don’t forget about the hospital with the contorted demented nurses! The immense terror that you feel in the darkness of the town, and the way the music brings your heart to a sudden furious beat is the reason that on March 15, 2008 I’ll be playing Silent Hill V. I cant wait to turn on the game and sit through the opening credits with a tingle in my spine and the hairs standing up on my neck!!

Preparing for LA – Liefje

EEK! It’s only less than 12 hours when I will be leaving my apartment for the airport for my 16 hour trip to LA to compete in the world finals in the Championship Gaming Series. I’m a little upset that i’m not on the earlier flight with everyone else leaving from Sweden but I guess i’m just that much of a VIP!

I have been really busy these past few days practicing my butt off while I still can. It’s not that I can’t have practice in LA but it’s different being in a practice room that you can only book for 2 hours at a time than sitting in my comfy chair at home, yelling at people on xbox live.

Aside from meeting all the new people and seeing the other members of the Berlin Allianz I also get another special treat… I get to see g0d*Trinelin again! Sometimes I get sad that the girlz are scattered all over the world but it’s times like these i’m happy about it :) My trip to LA is a bit bad timing since she will be leaving for Sweden just as I arrive! But we do have a few days overlapping so of course we must see each other.

Yeah, I beat fruit factory – trito

Every day when I go to work I spend about 1,5 hours in totally on subways and buses. In the mornings I often read the newspaper, but on the way back I need some other entertainment. Here is where mobile games come in the picture. Last weeks I’ve been playing Fruit factory. A really cute game consisting of 51 maps and to complete a map you have to collect a certain number of yummies. The yummies are fruits and croissants. Can it be any cuter? :)

I was very happy to finish the game, but now I have to find another game that can entertain me on the subways. Do you know any fun games? My favorite so far has to be “Stranded”, a game that must have got it’s storyline by the TV series Lost.

Liefje on Swedish National television tonight

Are you living in Sweden? Make sure you don’t miss Kulturnyheterna at 7 pm CET. They have interviewed Liefje to find out what it is like to be a pro gamer. Liefje also explains what skills you need to be good in DOA4 and you also get to see her playing the game.

Are you not living in Sweden and want to see Liefje? Don’t worry, head over to SVT website and you can stream the video. Click “kulturnyheterna” in the right frame, then “Sndningar” in the popup window. The you click “Tisdag 20 november”. If you can’t find that link it isnot up yet. It’s a ten minute broadcast and the part about Liefje will be towards the end. Some of the speaker text will be in Swedish, but the parts where Liefje speaks it’s in English.

Enjoy!

Also not only a computer nerd – trito

trito filmingTrinelin wrote some days ago she is not only a computer nerd. She is also a nerd when it comes to science. Like Trinelin I have two nerd areas as well. A part from gaming I’m also a nerd when it comes to cameras, photography and video editing. My boyfriend knows that I occasionally surf porn. My kind of porn: I surf the net looking at different camera models and read the technical specs. My wallpaper since some weeks back is a photo of a nice HDV camera.

But today I took it even a step further. I had a day off from work and felt like shopping. When other girls go shopping for shoes, I went to an electronic store and bought the camera from my wallpaper. Now I’m the proud owner of a Canon XHA1. The professional films I’ve made in the past are owned by others, so you can’t really view them anywhere online. But I’ve posted some of my other gaming related movies on youtube if you want to watch.

The pic is a photo from when I filmed Swedish Rally last winter.

Halo 3 baby!! – Chickamungus

It’s by far the best addiction in the world! Ever since Halo 3 has come out, no other game has touched the insides of my 360! It’s all I can ever think about when I’m at work, or at the grocery store. My favorite weapon since Halo 1 has been the Shottie! Once I get that, it’s officially overkill time! I’m going on a Shottie spree and you’re lucky if you can stop me! And who doesn’t love the extras! Like the bubble shield, and the power drain!

halo3.jpg

Catching campers who hang out in front of the lifts on Construct with the power drain and a ‘nade is the ultimate satisfaction! And the ultimate “gotcha” moment is when you get that kill from the grave from that last kamikaze grenade! Being able to VETO annoying swords battles, and having two ways to level up is great! Right now I’m a second grade Captain, and level 22. I need to play more ranked matches, but I don’t dare enter without a solid team! I can’t wait till Kimli gets Halo 3, and Alana gets her Elite so we can start the ownage!
