About a year ago the girlz and I (Liefje) were lucky enough to meet this World of Warcraft superstar. Of course we took the opportunity to interview him:
Well after being on youtube for some time, I discovered today that our interview has had several youtube honors! Check out what they are on the achievements page.
In april I (trito) went to Gamers Assembly in Poitiers, France, to play in a Quake 4 tournament. Team aAa interviewed me and I had forgot about it, but today I found the interview on youtube, here it is:

I’ve bought the Orange box some weeks ago to get the game Team Fortress 2. Right now TF2 is also the game I play the most of all games I play. With the Orange box you got some other games too. Portal got released last week and it was one of the games included in the box.
Today I’ve been trying it out. It is like a FPS game, but you don’t really shoot at anyone or fight anyone. It is a FPS puzzle game. Your weapon is a teleporter gun. With the gun you can shoot teleporters in the walls, floors and ceilings. When entering one teleporter you will exit at the other one. The game consists of many rooms and your mission is to get to the exit in each room, but each room has it own quests that you need to solve, using teleporters. You need to do a lot of thinking.
I prefer FPS multiplayer games, but this is indeed a nice single player game that you could play whenever you don’t have internet. You should try Portal, especially if you already have the Orange box.

I’m going to write my very first news entry in our newest website and I thought I could write about our beloved mate Yvonna whom participated at the online competition to be one of the selected candidates to become Miss Video Games. She’s been picked as one of the five finalist and because of that, the website for female gamers Femina United, where I am a writter myself, decided to get to know her a little bit better.
She gave her opinion about pretty much everything related to MVG and the Female scene. Iselectedapieceoftheinterviewasexample:
FeminaUnited: How can you help / support other female gamers being MVG 2007?
By being an example that one would not have to have been raised with gaming since childhood or even be the best at gaming to enjoy the heck out of it. I would support the established gamers by recognizing and appreciating the hours of hard work and skill needed to be at the level they have achieved. For newcomers, I would encourage them to continue in their gaming endeavors. From the casual gamer to the hardcore competitive player, I would say lets meet on MVG! It is a place where all would be welcomed to go with their gaming interests and for camaraderie. If crowned, I would take use of the media wherever I could to minimize the exclusionary, unsubstantiated rules that some girls in the internet gaming community have placed on the definition of what a girl gamer should be.
You would think that I would be tired by going up at 3.30 in the morning to get ready and head towards the airport, but actually, I was not tired at all. This was going to be my first big gaming event and the first time I would play shootouts and I was very excited about it. My flight left at 6.30 and I started my morning with a Starbucks White Mocca and a Harry Potter book on the way up to Seattle. I had prepared for the cold weather by buying a new coat and I was wearing my black leather boots.
I am actually from Sweden and have only lived in the warm climate of San Diego for about 9 months (people always say that I should be used to the cold but that is actually one of the biggest reasons to why I moved away from Sweden) so as soon as I stepped out in the cold of Seattle I immediately got reminded of the reason for moving away from home. While waiting for my baggage I got a phone call from my team mate Alana (Ms.X) that was supposed to arrive one hour after me. She told me she had missed her flight and would not arrive until about 4 hours later. Oh No! The worst part was that she did not have time to give me any address or directions to the hotel so I was more or less stuck at the airport while waiting for her. Fortunately I had my new iPod Nano and my book to play with while waiting. (more…)

Yesterday the Unreal Tournament 3 demo was realased. When I got home from work I installed it and played it for some hours. I got an a server with fojji and Stermy and we had some tdm games, it was fun!
I haven’t played the previous UT games that much. I played UT2k4 at a LAN event just for fun some years ago. Living in the gaming house with the clan, I also learned some UT2k4 when watching Liefje playing. I recognized the weapons in UT3 from UT2k4, so I pretty much knew how the weapons worked. The problem for me is there are more weapons to bind in UT3 than in Quake 4 and my fingers are not used to press the new keys yet. I am also not sure what key would be the best to bind secondary fire, I would prefer it on my thumb mouse button, but I already use it for rockets.
I liked the overall feeling of the game, it feels very smooth. The movement felt nice too, even if I’m not used to dodge jumping instead of strafe jumping. Speaking of jumping, I like the jumping boots, feels like flying.
