Photo gallery updated!
In the begnning of this month me, KarmA and Ms.X went to Beijing for the launch of the S3 Chrome Graphic card. We had a lot of fun and now you can take part of our photos at our photo gallery. Do you wonder how your arm looks like when you played q4 without any rest? Ask RocketBoy, he knows!!!

DreamHack has come to an end and we had the greatest time. Liefje, Ms.X, Missy and myself met in Stockholm before the event to bootcamp and party. Some days later RocketQueen and Anouc joined us and we took of for DreamHack and Jönköping. DreamHack is known to be the biggest LAN in the world with about 6000 BOYC spots and we sat in the VIA/S3 Graphic booth where we played in the 2on2 and 1on1 tournaments. We also did some challange games against LAN visitors that were keen on trying the new S3 Chrome Graphic card. After the tournaments we also found some time for partying and I think all of us agree that this event was killer_.

Welcome aboard aNouC!
I am happy to announce that Counterstrike/Q3 player aNouC has joined our Quake 4 roster for both 1v1 and TDM. For as long as I can remember, aNouC has been very active in the scene, as a player, team leader, and writer. I am very pleased with this move as I think aNouC will fit in perfectly with our team, her experience and skills are just what we were looking for to kick off Quake 4. Look out for us at this upcoming Dreamhack 2005 in Sweden, and welcome to the team aNouC!

The girlz start riots in Beijing!
I'm just kidding, but they made an impact on the Chinese press with the product launch of the new S3 graphics card. With its new 'chrome' technology, the graphics card is inredibly quiet and noiseless. The girlz, Ms. X, trito, and KarMa, showed the press what the card is capable of by playing shootout style games in Quake 4 (which included an exhibition match with pro-gamer RocketBoy). A "behind the scenes" article has been written on the first couple days of this China adventure, you can read it here on viacga.com.
Here is a snippet from the article:
I’m decked out in a CHROME t-shirt also and trito keeps teasing me and asking me if I’m a chrome kind of guy, and later if I’m feeling “chromey”? Between the beers and the partying the term apparently has taken on some new meanings.

Off to CHINA with VIA
Today Ms. X and trito are on their way to Beijing, China with VIA. Also joining them will be new member Karma from China. In China, the girlz will be doing a shootout with pro-gamer "Rocketboy" and a photo shoot for a magazine. Good luck and have fun @ the Great Wall! <3

VIA hosts the first large Quake 4 tournament
Ms.X is running the new gaming site viacga and from what I've seen so far I'm impressed. You can read the latest news about gaming, download maps and demos and talk with other gamers in the forum. Right now you have all reason to go there, because this is the place to be if you want to sign up for the first large prize purse 1v1 tournament for Quake 4. This tournament is hosted by VIA and takes place at DreamHack, Sweden 24-27 November. We girls from girlz 0f destruction will be there to take on challenges at the VIA booth and to participate in the Quake 4 tournament. And there is more to come... viacga is hosting a Quake 4 duel map competition. Right now there are not many q4 duel maps out there to play, I hope this will lead to new good maps that makes you never want to leave a server. ;) Go to viacga.com for more information.

Team roster changes
If you've been checking with us regularly (and I sure hope you have!), you will have noticed several changes with our members section. We have kept the team at the "core members", with Lili and RocketQueen remaining as staff members. Our "manager" has also been made redundant. We wish the others the best of luck in their gaming and hope to someday go head-to-head with them in future tournaments!

trito on Q4!
Therese has just been interviewed by inquake.de where she talks about the potential of Quake4 and some improvements that could be made. You can read it here. Here is a snippet:
iq-de: You and some of your clanmates have registered for the CPL-WT. How would you define your chances to make it to the $$$-places, besides the male-gamers mostly invent much more time in playing compared to you.
g0d-trito: Everyone that plays has a chance to make it to the top. Me an my clanmates just love to play Quake, so why shouldn't we register to play in a tournamnet. I hope this might encourage more girls to play competive and join tournaments.

Barbie top 16 in Tourney of the 10 cities
As we all knew before, our Barbie was going to "Tourney of the 10 cities" in Moscow, (sponsored by GIGABYTE and publishing house). She did very well, in the first round she played Quake 3 FFA and won against 7 other players. Then she competed in duels, that she didn’t know would take place beforehand. She came out victorius in the first game with 45 - (-2). There were a lot of skilled players there like Jibo and Cooller, and unfortunately she was out of the tournament in the next round. Cooller ended up winning 1st place and a nice $1000 with it. We are all very pleased with the results and hope to see her do more damage at Q3 tournaments, but I think Q4 is first priority now.

The time has finally come...
Oh wow Oh wow...Quake IV is here! I just picked up a copy and I am enjoying it to an extent, but daaamn my computer is not handling it too well. We are really looking forward to see some nice pictures from their trip. HF girls! October 13, 2005 |

Look out world ~ Liefje is BACK!!!
After taking a break from the team to finish uni (university), Liefje, formerly known as sWeeTfLoW, is back in action! Liefje, pronounced leaf – yuh, has been studying for her 2 year diploma in marketing and is in her final semester, taking classes such as commercial law, in her home country of New Zealand. With only five weeks or so left of uni, Liefje, like the rest of us, is patiently waiting for the release of Quake 4. The commitment of school will be in the past and the glory of gaming will be at hand.

Fantastic results!
Quakecon 2005 was a big success for us this year, as we managed to hit our goal to take the top placings; Missy 1st, Myself 2nd, and trito 3rd. RocketQueen also made it in 9th place which is great considering she did not intend to play in the tourney and did not prepare for it. I had such a wonderful time and would like to thank everyone that made this event so much fun. VIA really came through for us, and I can't express enough appreciation to them as they made it possible for us to attend. Thanks to id software and Nvidia for having the first MsQuakecon official tournament, it was a really good experience. Also a big congrats to the winners of Quakecon - Check Six for ET 6v6, Purri for Quake II, my hun gopher in Doom 3, and our very own Missy for Quake III. Well done everyone, hope to see you next year. Our Quakecon photos will be uploaded soon, stay tuned :D

Gearing up for Quakecon
It is already time to start our packing for our trip to Dallas, for id software's annual Quakecon. Our girls are taking this $30,000 tournament very serious, as Missy will depart for Scandinavia on August 3rd to spend a week bootcamping at SK.fox's house, meanwhile I will be heading to Kansas City on the 5th for some LAN training with Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel. Big thanks to fox and Fatal1ty for taking the time to help prepare us for the tournament. Sadly, Barbie was not able to get a visa and will not be attending Quakecon. It's really a shame as she had great chances of taking 1st place. We will be thinking of you Dasha! The g0d girls attending will be trito, myself, Missy, and RocketQueen. Wish us luck in the tournament, and our sponsor for this event will be unveiled soon!

Logo Contest!
We've decided to do something fun and test your creativity. We are holding our first ever logo contest, in search of an image that will represent our team well and that can be used for printing on various items such as clothing, stickers, pins, and of course our website. You can do as many entries as you like, and the contest will run until we find the right logo. I will make sure that the winner and possibly the runner up will receive a goody bag from the team. All entries can be sent to my email listed below. Thanks and good luck! In other news, sweetflow has parted ways with the team. We are confused as to why she chose to leave, but wish her luck with future endeavors. It was fun while it lasted girl :)

Dreamhack wrapup & Quakecon update
Dreamhack Summer is over today and it looks like gr|y and trito had a good time. Therese fielded together a team for the Quake III TDM tournament, and ended up placing second, only behind the top team Eyeballers. Congratulations to fnatic.Vo0 for taking first place in the Painkiller CPL stop at Dreamhack, and Fatal1ty in second, who put up a good fight taking both of the final matches into overtime. On another note, Quakecon has released the prize money for the tournaments, and to our pleasant suprise there will be $30,000 awarded for the MsQuakecon females 1v1 QUake III tournament. Our goal is for g0d to take the top placings. Wish us luck!

g0d brings management on board
I am pleased to announce that we have entered a new era in gaming, and felt it was time to have a manager to help lead the team. Meet Alan Reid, strangely enough his name is *almost* the same as mine! (No, we aren't related.) Alan has a great background in the gaming industry and is also a gamer himself. We are very glad he has joined with us and welcome him to the team. A bio for Alan will be posted in our member pages shortly, stay tuned =)

Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3)
Well E3 was a success! Ms.X, Missy, trito, miLf, sWeeTFloW, RocketQueen, and I all attended this once a year event and with 496 duels played, only 2 were lost to well known pro-gamers - Daler and fox. Razer was gracious enough to fly us all out to check out their new Diamondback Plasma Limited Edition. If you get a chance, stop by our IRC channel and ask us about our "adventures." We will be sure to post photos of our excursion on our forums and in our Gallery on our website.

g0d welcomes new member
We are happy to announce a new addition to our team, Barbie from Moscow, Russia. She is a very skilled player and a great girl so we look forward to playing with her (if our ping behaves) and also meeting at Quakecon. With our current lineup who will hopefully be able to attend and participate in the females 1v1 Quake III tourney, I think we'll be pretty ruthless! Barbie is from the popular Russian team c58, so you may already know her. I will be posting her bio on the members page very soon, stay tuned!

trito on Swedish television
The Swedish news recently visited trito's home and did a story on her and gaming. The feature includes her playing on a server with a very high pinged Missy, as well as an interview and discussion about g0d attending E3, our sponsorship as well as other things. It is in Swedish, but check it out! It's really great that the media are taking this kind of interest in gaming, especially the news. You can view the show here. The piece on trito starts at time 21:40 so it will require a fast forward. Enjoy!

World Cyber Games
Recently the World Cyber Games have announced their official games for 2005 where they have excluded the 1v1 First Person Shooter Unreal Tournament 2004. Unreal was replaced with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of war, a new real time strategy (RTS) game. There are no 1v1 FPS games that have been selected for the World Cyber Games 2005, which are being held in Singapore in mid-November this year. Another game missing from the list is Project Gotham Racing II, which has been replaced by Dead or Alive Ultimate. Although it may be in vain, please sign the petition to try and get UT2004 back in its rightful place! CLICK HERE TO SIGN THE PETITION!
Also, recently i've been working on a UT2004 frag movie. This isn't the greatest piece of artwork, and wasn't intended to be. Currently i'm working on a more quality frag movie, both content and video/sound quality-wise. I hope you enjoy it!
