History:
The first gaming memory I can recall is playing some Ninja Turtles game in DOS (way back in the day) with my brothers! And every now and then we would also play on NES at my grandparents house (yes my grandpa had an NES and we did not!!), playing games like Mario and Duckhunt.
The first FPS game I played was the old Wolfenstein, when I was but a wee child! I remember the dogs that jumped out were very very scary. After that, we played a lot of Doom on LAN (me and my brothers and my dad) and after that was Quake1 and Quake 2. At that time I still hadn't figured out how to use the mouse to aim, I just stuck to the keyboard. It wasn't until Quake3 that I decided to use the mouse because I was tired of my brother beating me (he also used the mouse..). I absolutely fell in love with Quake3, that was the first game I ever played online too, on MPLAYER.
Mplayer was like a chat room program but inside the chat rooms you created, you could also launch a game and join through the program. So for the longest time I only played on Mplayer, playing dm17 and CTF4 1000 times over. Then one day an mplayer friend recommended a mod to download: Rocket Arena 3. Rocket Arena was even more fun than mplayer and regular Quake3 because you would spawn with all weapons and 100 armor! I played this religiously for a long time, and it was through Rocket Arena that I met my fellow g0d team leader, Alana.
We gathered up all the girls that we knew played RA3, and decided to create the team girlz 0f destruction (back in October of 2001). We continued to play RA3 for a long time, I didn't pick up the OSP mod for Quake3 until early 2003/ late 2002. 2003 was also the first year I attended the huge texan lan: Quakecon. In 2004 I made a small dent in my gaming career by placing top 64 in the main Quake3 1v1 tournament, and I was one of the organizers for the MsQuakecon tournament (which was the only tournament running on time!).
In 2005, I returned to playing in MsQuakecon and placed 1st taking home $15,000. Playing on stage is my favorite gaming moment by far.
After that our team moved into a house together, I lived in Sweden for 1 year with Alana, Therese, and Livia. Now I have moved back home and live in California.
