Right now I’m sitting at the airport in New York waiting for my connecting flight to Las Vegas. Tomorrow CES is starting and I’m really excited about this event. To be in Las Vegas feels a bit nostalgic for me. The very first trip I went on with girlz 0f destruction was to Los Angeles and E3 year 2005. This is were I met most of the team members for the first time.
What does Las Vegas has to do with this? After the event we stayed some extra days and we took a road trip to Las Vegas. I had a lot of fun with the girls and going back there now will remind me of my first journey with the clan.
I’m also looking forward the shootout in the Belkin booth. First of all we are gonna play Unreal Tournament 3, it feels very fresh to play such a new game. And even though I’m a Quake kind of girl, I still enjoy to play UT 3 a lot.
A couple of days ago I also received my own copy of N52te, the keyboard we are gonna use in the shootouts. Some years ago I was actually looking for a smaller keyboard since I feel my gaming position would be more optimal if I had the mouse and the keyboard hand closer together. I even bought a tiny keyboard, but it didn’t work for gaming since certain keys came in conflict while pressing them the same time. With this unit from Belkin I’m able to put the keyboard hand much closer to my mouse hand and I like it a lot.
The things I am most impressed with using the N52te are the different color maps you can create as well as the key binding.
Using different color maps/profiles you can bind your n52te to work different with different games and programs. And you can even bind a key that toggles the different profiles you have. That is, you an use one profile for FPS games, one profile for racing games and why not use one profile to control windows. Because when you bind the keys you will get many options of how to bind to the keys. You can even record your own macros and have one key press represent several actions, for example a rocket jump.
Keep checking our website during CES, we will try to make updates about what’s going on.
