DreamHack tournamnets announced
DreamHack, the biggest LAN in the world, has hosted Quake Forever tournaments these last years. DreamHack Summer takes place in Jönköping, Sweden, in June and I was looking forward to see what Quake games would be played. Since I live in Sweden it’s not that far for me to go DreamHack and I was hoping to go to there to compete.
The tournaments got annouced yesterday and it’s gonna be QW and Q3CPM. I was hoping for QuakeLive, but I guess it’s hard to arrange a tournament since QL is still just a beta. I like Q3 a lot though and I would have wanted to play in the tournament if it was VQ3 instead of CPM.
I do hope a lot of good players sign up though, so there will be interesting games to spectate. You can read about the tournaments at DreamHack’s website.
Quake Live will find its place as a tournament game sooner or later. I personally thought my LAN days were over, but if there’s a major Quake Live tournament going on anywhere in scandinavia, I’ll be there!
